Lately there seems to be controversy about what works and what doesn’t in SEO. Different so called gurus and others have different ideas and it’s easy to get confused. Below are a few SEO Tips from Google.
Some have said that SEO is dead, others have indicated backlinks no longer matter, and on and on and on. Who knows what to believe?
Rather that latch onto any particular guru, website that specializes in SEO, or even the person you might know that tells you what works for their site, hear it from Google itself – or rather their employees.
Now to be sure, Google is not the only search engine out there. However, in most cases they deliver the lion’s share of free search results and that’s important for almost all sites. Even if you use paid traffic it can never hurt to get some free traffic from the search engines.
So with that it stands to reason, that since Google delivers the most search results and they are trying to also give the best search results, it is wise not to ignore what they have to say.
