Heavy Rains and Flooding

Heavy Rains and Flooding

Today and the past three days has been an absolute horror story for Southern California. There has been little exception where I live in Lake Elsinore. Although I don’t think it has been as bad here as in the foothills of the mountains where it’s been real bad.

Yesterday and the day before rain caused a lot of mud to come down the hill in our back yard. The problem was caused by the neighbor having as depressed ares in his yard next to the fence separating our two properties. This caused the water in his huge puddle to overflow into our yard and seep down through the porous ground riddled by all the gophers in our yard.

We’ve killed over a dozen of them the past couple of months, but they still keep coming. Our yard is big, well over an acre so there is plenty of yard for them to tear up, of which they are doing a very good job.

Tomorrow hopefully will be the last of this series of storms. Our roof is leaking seriously in at least two places and I probably have emptied out well over 5 gallons of water. Lots of my antique electronics stuff from long ago has surely gotten messed up or ruined as well as a lot of books and other things that got soaked.

heavy rains and floodingDuring all this rain I managed to get a site back in working order that got hacked since the last time I looked at it up. It is up and running again. It took two-three hours to figure out the best way to do it. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to start over again and I didn’t.

I also managed to put up a few of my sites up for sale even though its been heavy rains and flooding in the area. These are using some domain names I feel have value that I have had for several years. Check the ads on this site if you might be interested.
