Online Marketing Promotion – Articles Can Help Gain Success
Many business owners tend to overlook one of the best, free methods of online marketing promotion available to them—writing articles. If you’re shrugging and thinking you’re not a writer so how you could you possibly promote yourself that way, then take heart. There is no need to be a writer. As long as you know the subject matter and can explain it in a reasonable way, you’re capable of marketing yourself through the use of articles on your own website.
Internet marketing promotion is a major key to your online business’ success. You want to use every resource available to you, especially low or no cost ones. Articles are powerful tools in getting your business in front of people who are interested in what you have to say. A big plus is it’s very easy to get started. It’s also usually less costly than running ads, especially if you write the articles yourself.
Think about what relates to your business. What services do you offer? What products do you sell? If you sell rare or vintage comics, any article about any aspect of rare or vintage comics is a possibility. If you sell the latest Led or fluorescent light bulbs, then an article about why you need to save energy might be a good choice. Anything relating to your main business focus is a good possibility.
You’re going to get very specific with your business marketing promotion eventually, but for right now take one or two topics you’ve come up with and actually write about them. You’ll want to aim for an article of 700 to 800 words or more. You’ll want to add these articles to your website. Just convey your knowledge on the subject, and write like you talk. After you’ve done a few articles, it will get easier.
You want your online marketing promotion to look as good as everyone else’s, so be sure to spell check your work. Definitely proofread it for errors. Even more than once since it’s easy for a writer to frequently overlook his errors. It’s best to have someone else proofread your article, if possible to be doubly safe. You can also add spice to your article by adding an image or two. Here is an example of a long article I wrote with several images. Just be sure the image is not copyrighted.
You can add a brief author note at the bottom of the article with a link going to another relevant page on your website. The link could go to your biography on your site, if you have one, or another article.
Now that you’ve had a little practice, find an online keyword tool like the free Google AdWords Keyword Tool, and think of some keywords that relate to your business. Actually for best results you should do this before you write your first article.
If you own a rabbit morgue, then “rabbit diseases” or “save your rabbit’s life” might be possibilities. Other related phrases like “keep your rabbit healthy” or “prepaid rabbit burial plots” could attract visitors and open up opportunities for affiliate commissions. Use the keyword tool to find popular keywords that don’t have thousands of websites already catering to them.
The next step in your article marketing promotion is to pick a few keyword phrases and write articles based around those. Use the phrase in the title if possible, and one or two times throughout the article. This makes it more likely that when someone searches on that phrase through Google or another search engine, your article will show up high in the listings. Then will come to your site to read the article and that’s exactly what you want them to do.
If you’re truly intimidated by writing articles, you can always hire someone to do it for you. If you want a recommendation contact me and I will recommend one of the writers who has written dozens or more articles for my websites. Articles filled with good content, relevant to your site, can be a fun way to expand your internet business promotional efforts and a long-term way of attracting visitors to your site.
